Automotive and Machine Repair

Job Corps’ Collision Repair and Refinish training program provides students with the opportunity to receive hands-on training in different types of collision repair work and develop multiple skill sets. Maintenance and Light Repair

Average salary: $36,000 per year

Length of training: 18+ months

Test vehicle systems and parts, identify mechanical problems, perform basic maintenance, repair and replace parts, and interact with clients. Work on engines, transmissions, drive belts, brakes, electronic steering systems, diagnostic tools, power tools, and common hand tools.
